From Barnfind to Bespoke BMW 2002 Tii
Turismo internazionale iniezione. This is what Tii stands for. Within touring car racing the Turismo Internazionale regulations focussed on near-stock saloons that were allowed to race with twin carburators. BMW was successful in several championships with cars like the BMW 1600 Ti, 1800 Ti/TISA and BMW 2002 Ti. The introduction of the injection system created the BMW Tii. The BMW 2002 Tii is the most allround Roundie one can have. Currently several barnfinds are waiting in line for a follow up in the form of a (mild) restoration.
A cool restomod project versus a factory new refurbishment is always the first question we ask the owner. We are specialized in the BMW 02 model for over 20 years. During previous projects we’ve shown several ways to build a bespoke BMW 2002, based on a Roundie with chrome bumpers. From keeping the cars bone stock, to heavily tuned M10 engines and one-off suspension setups. Each time we raise the bar for the end result within budget. The outcome always blows away both purists and drivers. We don’t take shortcuts. The level of craftsmanship and details is beyond everyone’s expectations. And these 02’s go fast and keep going and going for years to come.
