MG A 1500 ROADSTER
Offered to the market is this 1956 MG A 1500.
A very early example of an iconic fifties British sportscar. The MG A is considered as one of the best handling sportscars of its era. Its strong and solid chassis and direct steering makes the driving experience remarkable. The engines proved to be highly reliable thanks to simple British engineering.
This specific car is no exception to the above. Restored to the highest standard and put to good use since, the car shows hartly any signs of wear.
The engine runs smooth and thanks to a slightly larger tyre size, the cruising speed is excellent. Converted to front disc brakes (MGB), a double fuelpump, double 12v batteries, double ignition coil and an electric cooling fan, this car is ready to go for any challenge. The seats have been replaced by Austin Healey 100/4 style bucket seats to gain a little bit more grip and comfort.
Having driven numerous rally’s such as Gran Premio Nuvolari, we’re aiming to find a new keeper who will broaden its list of rally’s and races all around the globe.
Prepared for classic rallying, this original ‘56 MG A 1500 is eligable for the world’s greatest classic car events such as Mille Miglia.
This matching number car is still in its original colour scheme and slightly upgraded in period style.
No structural changes were made and all the original parts are provided in the sale*.
The preparation of this car was carried out by us so we know the car inside and out.
A FIVA ID card is with the car and the sale includes all the history, files, restoration photos and Heritage Certificate, Brantz tripmaster and new sparepart kit.
The hard-top is very easy to assemble and to disassemble, as can be seen on the photos the soft-top is still fitted and does not interfere with the hard-top.
